Cellarmaker and Other Half brewed a DIPA together and combined our skills to make a most enjoyable beer. Using an aromatic yeast as well as Galaxy, Citra, Simcoe and Southern Passion hops, Double Comfy Pants has some real olfactory fortitude. When enjoying a beer like this we suggest you clear the mind, prepare the senses and get real comfy. Take off them jeans! Slide on them sweats! Now you're cooking with gas..

Pours a super hazy straw yellow with eggshell white head and noticeable particulates suspended. Aroma of pine, ripe stone fruits, grapefruit and orange. Perhaps some white grape notes. Taste really brings the citra and galaxy to forefront with lots of candied grapefruit, white grape, and resin. Alcohol is imperceptible. Mouthfeel is a bit heavier than the typical cellarmaker dipa.

Growler into tulip. Waited 6 days after the fill.
Look: Little head and golden orange. Was expecting some haze since it was a collab with the Other Half.
Smell: Tropical and dank.
Taste: Juicy. I get tons of citrus up front but mellows out at the end.
Feel: Carbonation is right, not too bitter, quite smooth, and some slightly booziness but not over the top.
Overall: Very good DIPA but all west coast. Wish it had more OH characters. The Monkish/OH collab was getting mad love for the haze.

growler fill - incredible hop aroma with slight alcohol. Cold out of the fridge the alcohol bitterness of the beer is slightly overwhelming - the hops are there at the end and taste great but almost subsumed into the boozy bite. As the beer warms the bitterness subsides and the juicy hops come forward. Overall its a nice beer but prefer a couple other DIPAs in their standard line up.

Nice beer. I get a lot of grapefruit, orange peel, nice citrus flavors. This is not my favorite from the Cellarmaker but I like it!!
