Cantaloupe Island features Krush alongside the familiar punch of Citra and Simcoe. Krush is a new standout varietal from the Hop Breeding Company that’s become a go-to in our lineup. Packed with ripe berry aromatics—think blackberry and blueberry fruit leather—it brings a juicy, unexpected layer that plays beautifully against the citrus, tropical fruit, and pine backbone from Citra and Simcoe. Bold, balanced, and bursting with flavor—this one’s all about contrast and harmony.

Really pale straw color, banana like. Thin head. Sweet melon flavors, pretty good strong hop punch with a little, almost sour citrus twang. Pretty nice.

The experimental hop in this one is Citra Incognito.

Sweet tropical hoppy nose on this one! Nice nose, but taste follows okay and has a slight nutty finish on the swallow. It is a little thin on finish for my palate.

Had this at the Bistro's inaugural hazy ipa festival on April 14, 2018, held during the 21st annual ipa festival at the same time. Commercial tug job claims 46 ibu, and this is the higher ibu of the two beers they brought. Pours a dullard yellow meets light orange canteloupe color with 1/4" white head. Aroma leans on the Citra end of the scale.
The taste is pushed by the Simcoe hop, to a much lesser extent, the experimental hop here exists. The Simcoe pushed bitterness seems to bring the beer to a higher ibu level than claimed. Certainly the significant amount of flaked oats and wheat here help temper the bitterness, as well as the low level of carbonation that doesn't jive with my hopes and expectations. Sure there is some canteloupe like notes from the experimental hop I would guess, I don't normally come across that dealing with Citra or Simcoe. Ultimately it gives a relatively unsatisfying mouth feel that lacks legit barley and carbonation.
EDIT: Bought a 4 pack of it, was slightly better than having it on tap at the fest. Former score 3.54: 3.25/3.5/3.75/3/3.5
Reflected score here will be average of both formats.

Sludgy in appearance, opaque with sediment. Light aroma. Faint melon. Perhaps it's the power of suggestion that I taste cantaloupe on the palate. Didn't live up to the promise.

Growler filled a day before and into a tulip.
Look: Little head and golden yellow.
Smell: Mostly clean tropical.
Taste: Not as good as the nose. Not as tropical but it has some dankness.
Feel: Carbonation is okay and decent bitters but not a fan of the watery finish.
Overall: I expected a juicy bomb with the name given. Somewhat disappointed.
