perhaps my favorite beer i have had from these guys, who simply do the hoppy stuff as well as anyone. easily my favorite beer from my most recent visit, this is a killer pale ale. predictably hazy, soft looking, somewhere past yellow in color, goldenrod maybe, great white head on it, pretty beer for sure. it smells sensational, citra driven i would say, but its in combination with some other hops, something a little unfamiliar to me in the nose especially, pineapple and melon come to mind, its another fruity one. minimal bitterness in the flavor, this is like the essence of the hops though, not oily but oily tasting, if that makes sense. it has a real sexy hop flavor, about as good as i have ever known citra to be, juicy ad ripe, pungent and floral, lemons and limes, even soft vanilla for a moment, maybe from the malt, but just spectacular presentation of hops. the quality here is through the roof, the recipe and the technique are on point, and really this is one of the best pale ales i can ever remember drinking. all in our group thought it as amazing, and definitely with an east coast vibe. fruits i never knew existed bloom right out of this thing, pleasant slowly fading finish too, not as dry as others. champion status.

Pours a murky opaque straw yellow with eggshell white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Aroma explodes with peach, mango, orange, and white grape. Overripe peach and fresh cut orange really dominate. On the palate there is nice pop of orange and grapefruit with that Australian/New Zealand white grape character. Orange and pineapple juice linger on the back end. Super crushable.

I just love this beer! The look is the great unfiltered look. The smell is just AWESOME!! The taste is probably one of the best Cellarmaker makes.
