Each year's hop harvest is often thought of as a linear progression: present becomes the past all the while moving into the future. Unbeknownst to most of us, Turok: Mosaic Hunter, exists within a pseudo-Yakima, hop farms of the now and those that have yet to come, seeking out the highest quality Mosaic for your IPA. Follow Turok on his quest for Mosaic hops and to reassemble the Lupulinsceptor, the only device that can defeat the evil Conglomerator and his band of Mergers and Acquisitions!

On tap in Sacramento - clear golden straw color with short white head leaving moderate lacing. Nose is mostly citrus with a bit of danky pine.Taste follows with hints of grassy earthy notes and more citrus. Nice mild bite lingers on the finish. A fine representation of mosaic hops.Tasty AF.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Grassy, slightly dank, herbal pine, tropical and stone fruit, blueberry, a little citrus, biscuity bready malt, and just enough caramel sweetness.
T: Citrus, lemon lime, grapefruit, and tangerine, herbal pine, tropical and stone fruit, blueberry, papaya, pineapple, mango, apricot, guava, passion fruit, and a touch of melon, grassy faintly dank notes, just a hint of bubble gum, biscuity bready malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly slick oily finish in a good way.
O: Drinks like the pure essence of Mosaic, like what would come out if you squeezed some cones tightly in your hand. Stylistically it's kinda like a refined modern version of a classic West Coast IPA with the bitterness smoothed out, which really compliments all the great flavors they brought out. They absolutely nailed it.

For a single hop brew, you really can't complain unless you're a stickler. I commend the brewmasters for going into the unknown without knowing. This is a mosaic through and through, fruit and pine at the forefront and a tasty resinous finish. Well balanced too. Single hop beers can be delicious, if you have a bias against it going into the first sip, then it's best you leave your review at home.

From tasting notes 09/02/17, had on-tap at Final Gravity in Roseville, CA
Appearance - Served up in a pint, clear and bright golden in color with a white, thin layer of suds sitting atop.
Smell - Citrus and pineapple with a hint of pine, herb and spiciness. Faint, generic bready malt base found beneath.
Taste - Follows the nose. Citrusy with pineapple, pine and a touch of herbal spice. Tangy tangerine punch and pine lingers in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with slightly bitey carbonation. Slick, easy drinker.
Overall - Very good beer, but nothing that hesn't been done a hundred times over already. Single hop brews just don't have the complexity to deliver something truly special.

Pours a clear pale gold with white head. Aroma full of orange and pine with some melon and berry notes. Sweet oranges and biting pine combine in the palate with a resinous finish and lingering berry fruitiness.
