Palate Contaminants: other beer
Appearance is a super hazy medium straw. Fine carbonation on the head.
The smell has a little bit of white grapefruit, but the main thing for me seems to be nuttiness, hazelnuts mostly.
Citrus takes back over for the taste. But I'd say that it's more tart than sweet. It's mostly non-sweet lemon, plus some other citruses that you'd only find in a specialty store. (Pomelos, anyone?) The nuts hang around, but the flavor tends more toward Brazil nut.
The carbonation is more prickly than I expected, but it's not detrimental. The aftertaste is savory and bitter, and it doesn't cling.
