On tap at Toronado SD, into a pint
A: The brew has a cloudy, hazy blonde appearance - really reminds me of Alpine's Nelson before Green Flash ruined it. Served cold and to the brim, so there is no head to speak of.
S: Hop-forward nose with distinct tropical nuances. Grassy, dank, with layers of rindy fruit aspects. Punchy bouquet...
T: Picks up where the nose left off, with a smooth candy-malt sweetness to offset the earthy notes dominant in the bouquet. Cellarmaker pales have a signature butter-rum undertone, which pokes up here mid-sip. Touch of booze and pine ushers in a quick finish, with little lingering between sips.
M: Light-bodied and oily slick. Easy to throw back.
Cellarmaker makes so many delicious pales it's hard to compare them to other breweries and not against their own repertoire. These brews are grossly underrated.
