Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, red session. Aroma has roasted coffee and chocolate. The taste makes me think of a sweet coffee cake with chocolate. The finish is a bit astringent.

A rare miss! This one just didn't come together properly. Good aroma initially, chocolate, hazelnut, roasted malt. Flavor is muddled though. Those flavors didn't come through very much in the taste. It was a lot of straight grain alcohol in the flavor and feel. It was a labor to drink, i couldn't even finish my wee 6oz glass.
