DH Fruited Sour. This is the second installment in our one fruit/one hop mixed culture series. We brewed a barrel aged sour ale with a heavy hand of Simcoe, an already melon forward hop. We then conditioned it on California grown Ambrosia melon from Country Rhodes Family Farm for a crazy, over the top Jolly Rancher like melon aroma and flavor. Super juicy and intriguing!

On tap at the brewery.
A light orange with a thin white head that falls off rapidly leaving little lacing, this looks decent. The nose is a nice blend of melon juice drippings( the juice left in the container after you eat all the melon), ripe and fruity with peach, melon , honey, mildly floral. Minimal barrel character. At best, there's a little vanilla and a hint of a barrel fermented accent to a mildly fruity and mildly spice saison. Light in body, highly carbonated and fizzy, mildly distracting even. Solid.
