Mosaic and its dank tropical fruit aromas and piney, resinous flavor meets the soft and subtle Riwaka. A rare hop sourced by us on our recent trip to New Zealand, Riwaka offers up fruity notes of white grape and tangerine zest with hints of brined melon. This beer is hazy, intensely aromatic and chewy with an assertive hoppy bite yet finishes smooth and silky.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that slowly settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.

S: Ripe zesty citrus, pine, a touch grassy and floral, solid hit of tropical and stone fruit, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.

T: Bright pine and citrus, grapefruit, lime, lemon, and tangerine, underlying tropical and stone fruit, white grape, passion fruit, pineapple, apricot, peach, and faint mango, fairly floral, grassy herbal notes, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.

M: Sits just a touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderately soft carbonation, quite smooth, a bit chewy.

O: There's just something special about how this one comes together. That hop combo works in perfect harmony and goes beautifully with the malt base of this series. The only thing I'd change is to bump up the carbonation ever so slightly.
Funny story, bought this can at a very reputable bottle shop with high turnover. Can date said 1/21/22 and I knew they never have inventory sit around that long, I figured CM accidentally forgot to update the year on their date stamp to 23. Went back and checked when they released this one, it was actually November 21, 2023. Still tasted incredible, which is a credit to their quality, and how well cold storage can preserve beer. Seems like this one only rarely gets mixed into their rotation, but the next time it does, I'll try to seek it out and see if it is somehow even better when fresh.
