1st review of this beer on BA. Drank this after a day of skiing in February 2020 at Mt. Rose. Cool pic afterwards, but the upload tool here is a PitA. Very cool label worth an uptick in the appearance category.
Pours a lightly cloudy yellow color with a light amount of amber to it. Citra, Cascade and Amarillo all make out the hop bill from this specific farm. You know, the crazy part here is that the Cascade was just as aromatic as the aroma hops. I can dig it. Anyways, has all those notes you would expect, grapefruit rind, pine, orange, lemongrass, citron.
Taste is again, a pretty impressive display of Cascade hop utility, provides the same grapefruit rind and pine, but continually showing its wide ranging game by giving it that impact not just in the nose, but also taste and mouthfeel. Good 55 ibu level of bitterness I would say. Good carbonation, the nice fit for a 4 hour day on the mountain, but not wanting to go Bigfoot heavy in the parking lot before driving down the Mt Rose highway.
