What happens when you cross our two of our favorite pale ales, Mt. Nelson and Dobis? You get Pineapple Peak! Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops are together at last in a supremely aromatic and flavorful, but always easy drinking, pale ale. Tangerine, pineapple and tangy ganja aromas are followed by pithy lemon peel and a Kerns nectar like juicy finish.

From Good Times Oakland, canned November 10th 2025.
It pours an extremely hazy orange with a small but long lasting head of foam. Lacing is excellent.
The smell is pineapple, tropical fruit, big dank notes, pine.
The taste is pineapple, citrus, dankness, pine, light lemon. Very juicy.
Medium bodied, good Hazy Pale Ale but I could only drink 1 in a session.

So I just found out this beer is essentially a blend of two of their other beers (Mt. Nelson and Dobis). Cool, I've had those before. I really like Mt. Nelson.
Pours a mildly hazy yellow color into a 2006 Deschutes Jubelale pint glass. It made a really big head, like a full 2" white head. I tend to associate the Galaxy hop with pineapple more than any other, so I found it kind of interesting that this beer had Nelson and Citra with zero Galaxy. That it did in fact push a heavy pineapple envelope was neat. Plenty of tangerine and pineapple smells here.
The taste was sweet like pineapple in a pale ale without resorting to any lactose (a bane of my ipa drinking). I thought that the Citra hop was more perceptible here than Nelson. Which is kind of different since Nelson is often like a bull in a china shop. But here, Citra seemed to win the day. The body was more cloudy than hazy, but it definitely qualified as "juicy" in the common hazy parlance.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a light layer and
S: Zesty citrus and bright tropical fruit, pineapple, lemon, lime, and grapefruit, a touch of resinous pine, green herbal notes, underlying tropical and stone fruit, crackery biscuity malt, and just a hint of sweetness.
T: Bright, tropical, pineapple definitely leads, backed with light passion fruit, gooseberry, white grape, mango, and apricot, lots of citrus zest, grapefruit, lemon, lime, and a hint of tangerine, slightly dank green herbal notes, a touch of resinous pine, crackery malt, and a
M: On the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Pineapple from Nelson and Citra? Yup. They made that happen. Hella crushable. Wouldn't mind just a touch more sweetness to make the fruitiness pop. Solid summer beer.

This is my first Cellarmaker in a while (we are still on their accounts wait list).
Pours out cloudy, whif of pineapple and then huge pineapple flavor, nicely balanced, slightly sweet but not too cloying.
