Another beer that was delivered to BFE as a result of the government economic small business shutdown. 1st review of this beer on BA.
Pours a cloudy yellow into a Raiders pint glass, 1/4" white head. Appearance is weakest attribute of this beer (like so many ipas since the haze/ddh craze).
Four different hop varieties push the notion of tropical fruit, weed and down under breathiness as far as it can possibly go without having Nelson or Mosaic in it. Its like Riwaka, Citra, Moteuka and Strata up in here.
Taste imparts all the overripe tropical fruit one can name. Guava, passion fruit, weed, strawberry, mimosa. Mouthfeel has a little bit of hop burn that is understandable given the almost 9% abv that contributes a similar type of warmth. I wouldn't really call it bitter though, its normal in that sense with everything going on. I guess there is a Kern's Nectar like juiciness to all the mango/papaya/guava like aspects of the beer.
It was good, not cheap (was like $6 per can with shipping), but it also has an elevated buzz level, so content with very nice, very evil purchase.
