Cascade isn’t the newest of hops, but this classic American variety which single handedly started the American hoppy craft beer revolution is the perfect counterpoint to the familiar modern IPA hops. Here it teams up with Mosaic for a wide spectrum of hop character. Mosaic brings the punch of tangy pineapple, sticky ganja like pine and citrus while Cascade adds softer notes of honeydew melon, sour apple Jolly Ranchers and sweet lilac pollen. Clear, bitter, crisp; a pure expression of modern California IPA.

Lovely looking drop, clear, good head retention, good lacing.

Smells of grapefruit, pine, then seems to get tropical. Could do without that.

The taste is nicely bitter, grapefruit and pine, then becomes tropical with mango and pineapple. Lost me there.

Good mouthfeel, good IPA.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours crystal clear golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a light layer and

S: Lively citrus zest, resinous pine, subtle grassy herbal notes, underlying tropical and stone fruit, a touch floral, biscuity bready malt, and a little caramel sweetness.

T: Citrus, lemon, grapefruit, light tangerine, and a touch of lime, resinous pine, underlying tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, and a hint of blueberry, subtle grassy herbal notes, a touch floral, biscuity bready malt, and a little caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, crisp.

O: With so many new exciting experimental hops out there getting all the attention it's nice to see a classic like Cascade get its time in the spotlight. Here it nicely compliments the Mosaic, letting it shine, while adding nice depth. The result is a rock solid West Coast IPA. This might be one of my favorite in the series.

Super fresh can drop to lupulo Santa Cruz.
Clear yellow. Creamy white head.
Citrus/pine cascade nose.
Taste similar but brings some stonefruit soft tropical mosaic flavor in the mix.
Mouthfeel appropriate.
Overall: very nice. 4.25’s in every category. Mosaic & cascade seem to play nicely.
