1st review of this beer on BA. Picked it up back in May when Cellarmaker was shipping out of state because of the state's economic lockdown/bloodletting measures.
Pours black into a Hoarders society tulip, 1" brown head during the Kentucky Derby. Looks dope. The aroma kicks a hefty amount of coffee, roasted malt, coconut and vanilla. Its all here. Hey, hey, the gang's all here.
The taste, damn man, this is one of the best non ba imperial porter/stouts out there. Its also better than most BA porters/stouts as well. Manages to kick hefty amounts of, well, everything down, without anything dominating. The amount of coffee and vanilla is substantial, so getting coconut to compete and hang with those is no sawft task. Amazingly well done. We also just had another can over Thanksgiving like 7 months later and it was still pretty bangin'. I don't plan on holding on to the remaining can, I don't think it "can" possibly get any better with age.
