It isn’t often that New Zealand rolls out a new hop, let alone one with such fanfare. The word on the street is that Nectaron is a top level rookie from the Southern Hemisphere hop world and from our sensory we are excited to see what this hop does in our beer. From rubbing and sniffing Nectaron we picked up notes of peach, grape cotton candy, zippy lime and terpy cedar. Team that up with Mosaic’s dank tropical and ganja like characteristics and methinks we have a winning combo!

God, I hate it when hazy IPAs aren't clearly labeled.
Yellow with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose has the jammy/cooked fruit notes of hazy Mosaic, not as bright and focused as in a WCIPA. The Nectaron adds a lovely dank, berry note with green grape, melon. Dank. The palate opens fruity and dank, a blend that's solid but a little disjointed in this beer. Berry, melon, kiwi, weed, dank. The mouthfeel is an off-putting combination of watery and grassy, with the dankness lingering in the finish. Solid.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Bright tropical and stone fruit, floral, citrus, slight grassy herbal notes, resinous pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Vibrant tropical and stone fruit, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, peach, apricot, guava, and a hints of lychee and grape candy, citrus, lemon lime and a touch of grapefruit, solid hit of floral notes, a bit grassy, a little resinous pine, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, somewhat soft on the palate.
O: You get a bit of that "stick your nose in a fresh bag of hop pellets" effect, in the best way, but that green side isn't as prominent as it was in the last Mo' beer I tried (Galaxy). Another winner in the Mo' series.
