The first in a series of 2-Hop pale ales exploring the sexiest hops the world has to offer. There couldn’t be a better combo to start with than New Zealand Nelson Sauvin and American Strata – possibly each hemisphere’s version of the other. Both have amazing white wine notes coupled with tropical mango and pineapple. Hints of strawberry also poke out behind the punchier fruit and marijuana-like tanginess.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Grassy resinous notes, bright citrus, dank herbal tones, underlying exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, biscuity malt, and just a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Quick hit of bright citrus, grapefruit and lime, a bit resinous and grassy, followed by exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, pineapple, gooseberry, apricot, passion fruit, strawberry, and white grape, some underlying dank herbal notes, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Just a touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: The absolutely nailed this one. The Nelson and Strata really play beautifully together. I'm always impressed with how much flavor and depth Cellarmaker is able to pack into their pale ales.
