Dank Side of the Moon was originally a West Coast Double IPA that we brewed years ago. We have now reimagined it with plenty of haze and juiciness for our Week of Dankness. From deep within our hop stash we pulled out two of the dankest hops known to us: Ekuanot and Columbus which are both loaded with pine sap like flavors. On top of those we layered our most ganja-like Nelson and some incredible Citra Cryo for a long smooth toke of guava and tangerine essence.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and light layer and leaves a spotty lacing.

S: Spicy dank herbal notes, lively citrus, resinous pine, ripe tropical, exotic, and stone fruit, a bit grassy, faint floral hints, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Quick hit of spicy dank herbal notes, followed by ripe citrus, grapefruit, orange, and lime, tropical, exotic, and stone fruit, pineapple, gooseberry, peach, apricot, mango, passion fruit, and white grape, resinous pine, a touch grassy, faintly floral, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: Just a touch on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.

O: Really nicely balanced, shows off both a dank resinous side and a juicy fruity side. Not the kinda flavor profile that I normally go for, but I dig it. Definitely get the best of both the hazy and Westy worlds.

Opaque golden yellow, some white foam.

Bit of Nelson, not getting a lot.

Tasting Nelson up front and would've guessed Galaxy but not Citra. Finish is bitter fruit, a bit much for me. A bit of pine, too.

Enjoyably creamy.
