For this version of our two-hop pale ale we used two of the sexiest American hops. Citra is well known and excels at delivering a wallop of tangy tangerine and juicy mango notes. HBC 586, the best American hop to recently be bred by the Hop Breeding Company has soft aromas of blackberry and marijuana as well as subtle hints of guava. Combined, these two hops make a tasty fruit-forward pale ale that we think you will be quite fond of.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Almost over ripe tropical and stone fruit, citrus, sulphury earthy herbal notes, slight grassy floral tones, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
T: Tropical and stone fruit, lychee, papaya, guava, apricot, pineapple, and mango, maybe a faint of blackberry, citrus, tangerine and lemon, sulphury notes, grassy, slightly dank earthy herbal tones, hints of coconut (wasn't expecting that), biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, slightly prickly moderate carbonation, yet still soft on the palate.
O: I keep trying to like HBC 586, it brings some cool fruity flavors to the table, but that sulphury herbal side can become kinda overpowering. I don't doubt that some will like this more than I do, but I'd definitely choose something else for my next round.
