Y’all know we love pale ale, so of course we had to brew up a fresh new recipe that features our latest and most favorite hops plus a new hop product out of New Zealand. We are brewing with some fire Citra and HBC 586 right now so we used both of those for soft melon and tangerine notes. Then we used Nelson Sauvin SubZero Hop Kief, a water soluble hop aroma product from Freestyle Hops. The SubZero brings a little marijuana-like zing that balances the fruit from the CItra and 586.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white/pale khaki head that settles to a light layer and laces rather nicely.
S: Bright tropical and stone fruit, citrus, slight spicy earthy tones, light resinous grassy notes, crackery biscuity malt, and a touch of light caramel sweetness.
T: Zesty citrus, tangerine, lemon lime, and a hint of grapefruit, tropical and stone fruit, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, apricot, peach, and a hint of guava, Nelson white grape and a hint of gooseberry quietly lurking, slight resinous grassy notes, subtle underlying earthy tones, crackery biscuity malt, and a little light caramel sweetness.
M: A bit on the lighter side of medium body, slightly prickly carbonation.
O: Would you expect (or want) anything other than a hazy pale ale to celebrate a full decade of Cellarmaker? The only change I'd make is to bump up the Nelson presence a bit more as it kinda hides, especially on the nose. I think a small addition of T-90 pellets would bring it all together even better.

16iz can at share. Hazy yellow pour, skin of head, lacing. Light citrusy aroma, grapefruit peel. Taste is citrus, lemon, grapefruit. Not overly zesty, smooth.
