West Coast IPA Collaboration with Green Cheek Beer Co & Alvarado Street Brewery
The Blaze Runners are a special force trained to track down and eliminate Replicannabis, a synthetic marijuana substitute that doubles as real cannabis. Green Cheek and Alvarado St Brewery along with Cellarmaker are the greatest Blaze Runners in the Universe. To celebrate our achievements we brewed Blaze Runner 2049, a hard hitting West Coast IPA that is nothing but the real thing. Mosaic, Simcoe, New Zealand Cascade and HBC 586 Cryo make for one of the greatest IPAs we have ever brewed, perfect timing for our 10th Anniversary Party.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves some spotty lacing.
S: Mix of citrus with tropical and stone fruit, solid hit of slightly dank earthy herbal notes, a little resinous pine, floral hints, and biscuity slightly bready malt.
T: Citrus, lemon, grapefruit, lime, and tangerine, slightly spicy dank earthy herbal notes, tropical and stone fruit, mango, peach, apricot, papaya, and a hint of pineapple, a little resinous pine, floral notes, biscuity slightly bready malt, and a fairly dry finish with just a touch of light caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly oily.
O: Well made modern style West Coast IPA as you would expect when breweries like these get together. Hoppy, dank, and dry, yet still quite smooth. The only thing keeping me from scoring it higher is the kinda sulphury thing the HBC 586 brings. (I might be adding that hop to my personal black list soon for that recurring reason.) I'm sure it's pretty much exactly what they were going for, so I wish I was as excited as they were about it.
