The Edge of Time is a single oak aged Barleywine. This is Batch 2 which conditioned for 14 months in 3 Willett Bourbon barrels. Pronounced fig and date character is intertwined with baked cinnamon rolls, toffee drizzle and oaky vanilla from the slow maturation. We recommend allowing your pour too warm to close to room temperature and allowing the carbonation to diminish so that all of the rich flavors may speak without

Enjoyed at cellar temp. This is reminiscent of my favorites from Jackie O's (high praise) but with less overt sugariness. Lots of familiar, drippily sweet descriptors, brown sugar, caramel, and toffee for sure but there is a kind of lightly charred edge to them all that is magnificent. I also get figs, molasses, roasted sugary nuts, and sooo much decadently smooth booze. Maybe some cocoa as well. The body is full and lightly sticky. This is damn near perfect to me. What a treat, thanks again Tim!

Poured at fridge temp. Pours very dark brown - borderline black. Zero head. The nose is amazing. Tons of toffee, slight graham cracker, bourbon, a hint of port, raisins.
The taste is insane. Tons of toffee and actually quite a bit of maple for me. Leather, spice, oak, a nutty presence, molasses, a hint of black licorice. I can tell the ABV is high, but it's not boozy. Sweet, but definitely not too sweet. A well-crafted beast. Cellarmaker has mastered the barleywine game.

Pours a dark brown with little lacing. The Willet Barrel pushed this beer into a decant pleasure territory, Rich, complex flavors of fruit, caramel, and the bourbon barrel. Definitely a sipping beer that you will want to warm over time.
