We are super stoked to brew our first collab with Shawn McIlhenney after years of being fans of him and his father’s beers. Shawn knows how to make some dank beers so we brought some terpy hops to the table for this brew. Simcoe Cryo, Nelson Cryo, Nectaron and Mosaic bring layers on layers of dank tropical fruit and ganja-like oily flavor. Hold onto your couch because your about to get lifted with this punchy IPA.

This beer slaps! It’s everything I want in a glass.
Pours the way it should, west coast all day. Hop profile is dank, floral pine and sticky resin, perhaps a delicate touch of blueberry, even, on the nose and across the sip. Drying, lingering finish, with enough bitterness to remind you how IPAs used to taste. Oh, it’s a good one.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little nice lacing.
S: Slightly dank grassy herbal notes immediately followed with resinous pine and zesty citrus, a little underlying exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, and a little biscuity malt.
T: Resinous pine and citrus hit first, lime, lemon, grapefruit, and a hint of tangerine, followed by underlying tropical, exotic, and stone fruit, gooseberry, peach, apricot, blueberry, mango, white grape, pineapple, and passion fruit, slightly dank herbal notes, a bit grassy, light floral notes, and biscuity malt with a bone dry finish.
M: A touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, super crisp.
O: Really well done Westy. Bright, crisp, and properly bitter. The only tweak I'd make is dialing back the pine just a skoch to let some of the fruity notes come through a bit clearer. Overall I'd say they nailed what they were going for.
