What happens when you grow the Cascade hop in New Zealand? It takes on an entirely new character that you would never guess is coming from the classic hop we all know and love. Wild aromas of lime and Juicy Fruit gum explode from the hop that growers have now named “Taiheke.” Team that up with the ever so pungent and sticky Australian grown Galaxy and you’ve got a JUICE BOMB of a combination!

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces quite nicely.
S: Grassy, slightly herbal, resinous pine, zesty citrus, underlying tropical and stone fruit, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
T: Resinous, spicy pine, zesty citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, lime, and lemon, tropical and stone fruit, apricot, nectarine, passion fruit, mango, light melon, and a hint of pineapple, underlying grassy herbal notes, faint floral notes, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, somewhat soft on the palate.
O: Nicely balanced between all the resinous green notes the NZ Cascade brings to the party and all the fruitiness from the Galaxy. As I've said before, style wise I'd call this more of a NEIPA, but who cares. Not my favorite in the series, but it's still a rock solid beer.
