For our 11th Anniversary we bring back this dope collab with our besties Alvarado Street Brewery. When Doves Cryo is loaded with super concentrated Mosaic Cryo and Simcoe Cryo pellets which are double the potency of typical hop pellets. In addition to these dank hops we add a good heaping of Nelson Sauvin from our friends at Freestyle Hops in New Zealand for some sweet tropical fruit and tangy diesel.

Another Alvarado-Cellarmaker collab.
Enjoyed on tap fresh from the source during CM’s 11th Anniversary
Pours hazy, as expected, with a heavy pineapple and, well, dank hop expression. Silky smooth, with some wine grape notes on the finish.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces beautifully.
S: Mix of ripe berries, citrus, tropical, exotic, and stone fruit, countered with slightly dank spicy grassy herbal notes and resinous pine, plus a little bubble gum, all built on a foundation of slightly bready biscuity malt and caramel sweetness.
T: Big time mix of exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, gooseberry, peach, apricot, pineapple, blueberry, mango, white grape, passion fruit, and a hint of papaya, juicy citrus, tangerine, lime, lemon, and faint grapefruit, resinous pine, slightly dank spicy grassy herbal notes, a touch of bubble gum, slightly bready biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, slightly prickly moderate carbonation, yet still soft on the palate
O: I remember trying the original when it first came out, so it's cool to see at least the great name and label art brought back. This version has some tweaks to the hop combo (Mosaic, Simcoe, and Nelson vs the original's Mosaic, Citra, and Galaxy). I might just be a sucker for these 3, but I really think they come together beautifully to create a super complex tasty beer. The green spicy dank side definitely comes out as it warms, but I think it works nicely as a counter to all the nice fruity notes up front. I'm all about this one.
(I'd love to see Alvarado Street rebrew the original recipe so I can revisit it. I know my palate has changed in the years since they first brewed it.)
