What do we want lower? Interest rates! What do we want higher? Hoppiness! Investment Danking is a collaborative West Coast Double IPA with Alvarado Street Brewery distributing dividends of intensity. A diversified portfolio of Simcoe Cryo, Galaxy, Citra and Chinook hops deliver lupulin returns at levels never before seen. There’s nothing bearish about this DIPA – its stock is on the rise!

Ales tales tap. Hop aromas clear with lacing. West coast this is. Lovely drinker even when cold.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy cream/tan head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Juicy almost over ripe tropical and stone fruit, spicy pine, a touch herbal, ripe citrus, slightly toasty bready malt, and plenty of caramel sweetness.
T: Opens with a punch of spicy pine, quickly followed big time tropical and stone fruit, pineapple, guava, mango, peach, melon, passion fruit, apricot, and dare I say hints of grapes, ripe citrus, orange, grapefruit, and lemon, subtle herbal tones, slightly toasty bready malt, and plenty of caramel sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, mild to moderate carbonation, interesting mix of sticky, slightly prickly, and oily.
O: Drinks kinda like a modernized version of an old school DIPA with a big piney kick, firm malt backbone, and plenty of caramel sweetness, countered by lots of modern fruity hops. If I didn't know better I might have guessed that there was either Nectaron or Nelson in there. As a big fan of both Cellarmaker and Alvarado Street I wish I lived this one more.

Alvarado St Collab WCDIPA
On tap at Cellarmaker. Possibly brewed at Cellarmaker, too.
Pours as expected, clear, golden tan, with light foaming. Light aroma gives way to a hoppy sip, with a drying, rustic piney-viney (as in vinous) and dankity dank character. The finish is really a highlight here, long drying and lingering.
