Collab w/ Monkish
DDH Hazy Double IPA
Sometimes you’ve just gotta send it. This beer is that. Using Citra as our hop foundation we layered in our top notch 24’ Simcoe Cryo lot for some extra terpy lime and hawaiian punch contributions. And of course we also had to add in our most choice Freestyle Nelson Sauvin. Lastly, a heavy handed dose of a beautiful Galaxy lot brings out the big aromas of passionfruit, orange sherbert and lychee alongside powerful flavors of cara cara orange, gooseberry and pithy grapefruit.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Resinous herbal pine, zesty citrus, ripe exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, a bit grassy, faint Southern Hem diesel, slightly breast biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Opens with a quick hit of resinous pine, quickly followed by lively citrus, grapefruit, lemon lime, and tangerine, ripe exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, mango, gooseberry, guava, passion fruit, white grape, apricot, peach, and a hint of melon, grassy faintly herbal notes, a touch of Southern Hem diesel, biscuity slightly breast malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the plate, just a touch of burn from the hops, but not unpleasant.
O: Never been able to try anything from Monkish, so I can't say how much of their style is present here, but it's still a delightful hazy DIPA. Pretty nicely balanced, nice intensity without going overboard. Definitely got a little something special going on.
