A milestone beer worthy of its name, Triple Barrel Batch 2000 is a massive barrel-aged Barleywine aged sequentially in three distinct barrels: 10 months in Blanton’s bourbon barrels, 13 months in Savage & Cooke Lip Service rye barrels, and 12 months in Eagle Rare bourbon barrels. This 17.4% beast carries layers of rich caramel, dark fruit, toasted oak, vanilla, and warm spice—each barrel adding complexity and depth to the final blend. Velvety, intense, and unapologetically bold—this is a celebration of patience, craftsmanship, and oak-driven character. Sip slowly. You’ve earned it.

Poured from a small 8.4oz bottle at fridge temp. Pours a very dark brown with no head. The nose is boozy, with notes of toffee, bourbon, rye, prunes, vanilla, and loads of malts. I can almost pick out the Eagle Rare and Blanton's as they are quite distinct. After the beer warms for a bit, I get more dark fruit. Sherry notes come through as well. Really nice.
The taste is incredibly intense. Might be one of the most intense beers I had in my life. Wow. Bursting with boozy bourbon, figs, plums, raisins, toffee, molasses, brown sugar, honey, and a hint of maple. Vanilla comes through as well. Dark bread and graham crackers. I'm so impressed by the flavor on this one.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a toffee and bourbon aftertaste.

Brown sugar, a hint of honey, dark fruits and vanilla, and a prominent oak and bourbon barrel boozy nose on this one! Taste follows very closely with a smooth and an almost luxurious, raisiny and toffee malty, and a balanced, yet still forceful, bourbon barrel boozy finish. This is a delicious and tasty sipper! And this presents much better than DB2K IMO. I feel cheated with the small bottle size though! LOL!
