Poured from 330mL bottle into a tall kitchen glass. Best by 11/23/22.
Appearance: medium orange hue with a light-to-moderate haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam. Not too bad, though I might expect a little more haze from a hefeweizen.
Smell: rich malt with some nice banana-and-clove character, although there's also a bit of a soy-sauce element here that doesn't quite work for me.
Taste: nice wheat malt character and banana, but again, there's that off flavor that kind of detracts from things a bit.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: it's okay. There are both redeeming qualities to this beer as well as flaws.

Hazy dark golden color with a bit of white head. Aroma has sweet malt, some fermented honey and overripe, mushy banana. Taste is slightly sweet, a bit nutty and toasty, not very spicy or phenolic. Not too sweet, almost no bitterness. Light to medium body with quite low carbonation. It's not a traditional weizen by any means nor is it an interesting beer in any aspect.
