This is the first beer I have drank from Szent András Brewery from Hungary and it is their only IPA. Bandibá is made in collaboration with Csupor, another Hungarian microbrewer and is made of Polaris, Chinook and Huell Melon hops, Pilsner, Vienna and Cara Amber malts with an IBU of 55, EBC 18.
Its aromas seem to be quite subtle at pouring it into a glass and its body a bit watery and light at first. The combination of hops give it a rather sour citrusy and perhaps piney taste, the latter is present more and more in the nose as the beer warms up a little (recommended between 14-16 Centigrade). An overall sour and bitterness prevails.
For me, the taste is completely new (I have never had Polaris or Huell Melon hops) and therefore interesting, but it doesn't pass over the "okay" line...
It is okay and enjoyable (I guess the 7% ABV is responsible for this) and has an interesting smell, with a medium caramel malty body.
Altogether feels very Hungarian to me in a good way. Though it says American IPA, I would say it is a Hungarian IPA from the Great Plains, this is Uncle Andy.

Clear golden color with white head. Aroma has candied orange and some grainy malts. Taste starts sweet and orangey, continues with some earthy hop bitterness and finishes dry with lingering bitterness.
