25 years ago all started with the Arany Hordó in Békésszentandrás, so it is appropriate for our jubilee beer to be a limited edition lager based on the original recipe. When tasting, think of József Simkó and his former team, who have, with their sacrificial work laid the foundation of the St. Andrew brewery and of course, who have been living this noble tradition ever since.

This was the first beer that had Békésszentandrási brewery started 25 years ago and here we are at its anniversary, celebrating these two and half decades with the first lager they ever made, this is the original recipe. Limited, mine was #2650 out of the total 9000 bottles brewed.
It is quite like your Euro Pale Lager, but with quality. Saaz (?) hops dominate but still it keeps that good old lager feel, somehow nostalgic, reminds me of summer nights a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
Kind of light in the body with medium added (?) carbonation and no bad aftertaste. The more I drink it, the more it feels like a Czech lezák - which is great!
I am scoring it up but not for any bias - but because this is a quite well made, good quality, good old, traditional lager that also puts you in the right mood.
Congrats Békés Serfőzde! Hajrá!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
