Alewife and I stopped into Pivovarsky Klub on 04OCT13, after a short day-trip to Plzen. My first round was a 0.3l glass of this offering, at 45CZK (~$2.52).
Served in a small tulip, which held a very deep, dark brown brew. Was nearly opaque, and it had a soft, fluffy mocha head, with decent lacing. The aroma was an inviting choco-coffee mix. Medium in body, it felt light and airy on the tongue.
Led off with some roasty choco, the dark malts being quite evident. Rather bitter, some coffee action jumped into the mix, and a bit of floral hopping was detected in the very dry finish. Decent but not solid. Prosit!!
