I sincerely wish that I could find a born on date for this beer. I think it is past it's prime based on the other ratings, but this is what I have so... Look - Light brown color of apple cider with a 3 finger head that mellow to a .5 finger remaining for the life of the beer. Not much on the nose - saison farmhouse smell more than IPA. Taste follows suit. A heavy alcohol taste for what is marked as 6.3 ABV on the bottle, but is noted as 4.5 on the brewery website. The prevalent alcohol left a dry taste/feeling in the mouth which I do not care for. It was smooth prior to the finish, so still very good. Going to try to hunt down a bottle that was kept cold, as this bottle was not refrigerated. BBC is usually great - this one is good - very good, but missed the mark compared to their usual standard.

Another wonderful IPA from Berkshire Brewing. Has a delightful hoppy citrus flavor at first with just the right amount of bitterness at the end to make this beer very drinkable. What a shame it was only brewed once would love another one.

Pretty pumped to see such a style by Berkshire floating around. Apparently rather fresh and ready to be reviewed.
A- Murky almost turbid pour with an orange-amber body. The cap is white and rises to over a finger before falling, decent retention, to a puffy ring. A thick sheet forms when the cap falls and plenty of lace sticks beyond that.
S- Saison yeast and fruity, juicy hops. The yeast and hops seem to share the spotlight with spiciness and citrus rind leading to hops with stone fruit and tropical fruits like papaya, mango and tangerine.
T- A sea change of characteristics occurs here and I am not sure I have encountered this much of a difference between aroma and flavor in a brew before. A very spicy and somewhat alcoholic bitterness comes into play with just a hint of the fruity hops right at the forefront. Some mango and citrus but mostly the spicy bitter thing. Seems to get a bit better with time and the hops come out more.
MF- Medium overall thickness with a very high end carbonation. Creamy with a bite on the palate and a spicy bitter finish.
For me the aroma was borderline top notch but the taste becomes rather bitter and even soapy at times. Juicy hops contrasting and balancing out with spicy Saison yeast.

A – Opaque brown with gold highlights, turbid is a perfect descriptor as mentioned by an earlier reviewer. White fluffy head.
S - Big grapefruit pith and rind, rounded out by spicy phenols.
T – Solventy, metallic, touch of citrus, pineapple, and sweet malt, with a bitter finish. Not getting a whole lot more on the taste which is a bummer.
F – Full feel with moderate carbonation
O – Went into this without any expectations, but as a fan of BBC, I’m a bit disappointed. It’s very possible this bottle is a bit older and the hops faded off leaving the yeast profile too forward in the taste. This changes nothing for me when it comes to my BBC favorites, I will continue to enjoy them and try their new offerings as well.

So fresh!
A- Pours hazy, turbid golden brown with a strong, off-white frothy head.
S- Huge classic pineapple/pepper saison notes right off the bat, nice backdrop of light papaya/melon and pithy citrus rind from the dry-hopping.
T- Same with the nose, hard not to notice the yeast profile first, but the hops show up a bit bigger here than in the nose, with the citrus rind bitterness seeming to be accentuated by the rye spice note, nothing really clashes.
M- Awesome feel for the style, slightly bigger body with the rye, but soft pillowy carb made this go down easy
O- Impressive offering from BBC, one I'm going to purchase a few more of as I'm not positive how long these brewer's series last. Nice saison with a lot going on that still retains a lot of the qualities required for easy summer drinkin'
