Cloudy, dark gold color. Moderate head but it leaves a great lattice of lace on the glass.
Quite malty to the nose. Lightly sweet with an almost apple cider aroma.
The flavor is a tad bit sweet but the hop brings a good balance with some bitterness. Interesting complexity with a wide range of flavors. Great body for a lager, the carbonation is subdued. I get some alcohol in the finish. The aftertaste is balanced nicely. A very easy to drink beer with no flaws and decent complexity. Easy to love.

On tap. Sample pour. Aroma is mildly hoppy. A little buttery. Some floral hops. Flavor is slightly buttery, too. I would prefer this to have a more intense hoppiness. I thought the hops were mostly floral. I got a soft lager-yeastiness as well. This one could have been better.

On-tap 1/3/2016 at Doherty’s East Ave Irish Pub in Pawtucket, RI, served in a tapered pint glass.
A: The beer is a dark gold color, with a large foamy off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains grassy hops, lager yeast, caramelized malts and some citrus.
T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a hearty but not too heavy malt character. Then some sweetness comes in from flavors of caramel and citrus. The hops presence is mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.

A - Semi-clear orange body with a medium white head that leaves moderate lacing.
S - Light biscuit and maybe some light spicey hops. Not much to the nose.
T - Cereal, biscuit backbone cut off by some noble-like hops. Spicy, medicinal. Ends crisp. Reminds you this is a lager.
M - Medium body, medium/low carb. Dries the palate.
O - This is a nice take on the style I like to try everything from Berkshire. Worth trying, but I probably wouldn't revisit.

The Foundry is the best. On draft.
A- Fairly hazy close to cloudy yellow orange body from the tap to a becher. A large, frothy white cap rises up to several fingers. Good head retention and ample lace webs.
S- Fairly mild for an IPL at 6% but hops are certainly up front with floral, herbal and citrus zesty hops. Cereal grains and yeast bread back that up.
T- Citrus zest mostly like orange and tangerine from the hops. Floral, pine resin and herbal notes as well. Slight hints of cereal, bread, apple esters and grapes.
MF- Creamy and frothy overall consistency. Carbonation is on the high side and helps the texture establish itself. Fairly bitter finish.
A solid effort by a classic New England brewery. Citrus leads to pine and cereal in a fairly pale lager body.
