Can from Bantam Market.
A mildly hazy light orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing, this looks good. The nose is soft and doughy, bready with clove and ripe bananas, along with a hint of firm, earthy hops. Mild mineral and metallic character is present as well. The palate opens with a light, mildly watery bread and dough note, raw and rustic with grist and grain. Mild honey, mild clove and some banana are present. Drying, light, mildly watery on the finish, this beer is crisply carbonated and refreshing. Solid stuff.

Light haze with a darker amber color. Small but lasting head. Good broken ring lace after each sip.
Berry sweetness to the nose. Quiet wheat aroma.
More wheat on the tongue than the nose. Some clove and banana. Creamy body with an elevated carbonation. Short and mildly sour aftertaste.

Drinking a lighter, low ABV wheat beer in the middle of January seems like a sin to me. Normally when the colder, crisper weather swipes into my southern New England home I opt for a light fireplace, dimmed lights and a thicker more warming porter or stout wile I watch snowflakes fill the street in front of my house.
Fast forward to today, January 3rd and it's 50 degrees out and we're in the midst of a heavy rainstorm. So when mother nature plays games I need to adjust to stay with her.
Pours light golden as expected, minimal head that dissolves in a hurry
Smell is a whack of overripe bananas just begging to be made into a banana bread, mild clove enhances the aroma.
Taste is a better combination of the two with a nice spicy bite added in, quite good.
The spice hangs on in the mouth, moderate to high carbonation that clear out slowly.

Poured a cloudy apricot color with a 4F head in a Brooklyn Hefeweizen glass.
Pleasant light clove aroma, which becomes more pronounced with warming.
Taste: clove, banana, spice. Not classically German in taste, despite the German yeast.
Very enjoyable.
Dry, spicy, lightly bitter finish. I like this. It's not overdone.
Overall, an excellent Hefeweizen. Certainly different than the German beers in the style, very drinkable, and quite enjoyable. T

Pours a very pale almost clear gold. Huge amounts of carbonation. Filmy bubbly cream-colored head. Some lacing. Looks nice
Smells typical for the style. Massive banana and clove aromas. There is a yeasty breadiness throughout. Mild spice. Bubblegum sweetness. Average but I love it
Taste follows suit. Huge banana flavor with underlying cloves. Very prominent yeast flavor. Lemony wheat twang. A little spice to balance the sweetness
Feels crisp and very refreshing. About as light bodied as they get. Doesn't feel as carbonated as it looks
Overall I'm impressed by this because I feel a lot of American hefeweizens miss their mark (my opinion of course). This has everything I would expect from a German hefe. That being said, it is really only slightly above average when compared to the likes of Weihenstephaner or Paulaner, etc. On par with Flying Dog's In-Heat Wheat
