From the can, it pours a hazy brownish amber with a modest off-white head that leaves a bit of lacing. In the nose, it is roasted malt with some caramel malt. Taste follows nose: caramel malt (not extreme) and slightly sweet with a very definite slightly sour finish.
Note: Brewed especially for "Table and Vine" and "Big Y" stores.

Poured from a pint can into a pint glass. This is a house brand for Big Y and Table & Wine, brewed by Berkshire. Minimal cream colored head which dissipates quickly, with little lacing. Body of the beer is a light brown. Very malty aroma. This continues on the first sip, with a definite sweet malt flavor, some yeast, just a little hops to help the tongue. Brown Ales are declining in popularity, so it's a nice change of pace to have one every once in awhile. This one isn't bad for an inexpensive store brand.
