Look...A black and brown tinge with a cocoa head with medium to low carbonation
Smell...alcohol and chocolate with a hint of roast.
Taste...A bitter dark chocolate and coffee with alcohol l burn quickly ensuing. A bitter blast and dry on the back end of finish
Feel...Thin body that exudes no fullness. Slick and no creaminess falling into the tradition of a Baltic Porter with some lacing
Overall...This is def good for the style with no crazy sweetness. A quality that really works but with the burn of alcohol it limits a high score for me. The fact that I have had so many sweet stouts lately that have had a lot of creaminess(which I really like) i believe it brought back the score for me a bit. Well made just not my go to

A: opaque; very dark brown in color with mahogany highlights at the edges; less than a 1 finger finely pored medium brown head that receded to a thick collar; no lacing;
S: alternately semisweet chocolate and coffee with cream;
T: nicely balanced between semisweet chocolate, and coffee with cream; moderate bitterness on the finish; as it warmed, the flavor became somewhat metallic and harsh;
M: medium bodied; light to moderate carbonation; dry finish; hides the ABV well;
O: really nice flavor at 40 degrees;
