This was the first of a few biers I tried at Arendsnest in Amsterdam on 17SEP19. A 0.25l pour cost me €4.90.

It was a clear, medium-golden color, with a fluffy, 1/4" white head. The topping lasted well, with excellent lacing. The nose had bready, crackery notes, and smelled "dry", if that's possible. Had a fairly smooth feel, with a medium body.

Flavor was dry, crackery, Pils-like. Had light fruit, like pear and green apple, plus some mango and melon. Finish was slightly floral. A nice brew... Prosit!

L- Dark gold, slightly cloudy from bottle sediment stiirred up. Pours with thin fine white head reducing to lacing.
S- Reminds me more of a wit-beer/weissbrau than say a Belgian Tripel in that it has some zesty spicy aroma to it.
T- Pungent, the 7.8% is prominent, no mistaking it at all. I also get coriander, plus some zestiness.
F- I'd have guessed the ABV% as higher if blind-tasted, it's that prominent. I think the Mouthfeel combines with the ABV% to amplify it. I'm reeeally not into 'sweet' anything much, especially beer, this comes over as just to the sweet side of neutral, and I am enjoying drinking it. The alcohol tang likely helps balances it.
O- The first words of it's lable description are 'Pairs well with old cheese...' and since it comes from a cheese shop perhaps best to follow their cue (which I haven't). Enjoyed alone, it's enjoyable, a little away from my ideal 'richness/sweetness', but could well pair with 'old cheese', I don't know.
330ml bottle, BB: Nov-2019. Bought from: 'Cheese & More - Henri Willig', a cheese shop in Utrecht.
Store/pour carefully as it's bottle-conditioned and stirred up easily.

Has to pair cheese in Amsterdam. Couldn't even finish the bottle! The smell was good, with caramel fruits, belgian spices and malts. The taste has this gross and bitter green pea taste that totally disrupts the whole beer. The texture is reminiscent of soapy water. Nope!
