Colour chestnut brown, almost clear. The beer is covered by a small but persistent white head. It is built of very small bubbles and forms a compact structure.
Aroma: sweet, malty, bread-like with accents of wine, cognac. There are fruity notes, mainly dried and fried fruit, marmalade, but also wood, perhaps jasmine (here I am not sure), earthy accents.
On the taste, a hint of sweetness is countered by an herbal, dry bitterness. The bitterness exists in tandem with the alcohol notes.
The alcohol is gently warming. Medium saturation downwards. Texture a tad rough. Body high minus. Aftertaste long sweet fruity with a distinctly bitter, alcoholic finish.
