Aug. 2018: 500 ml bottle, ABV 4.4%, at The Jersey Larder, Jersey Airport. Deep golden colour, white head. Moderate grainy aroma. Nice herbal and earthy English hops in the flavour, some fruity notes too. Nice to drink.

On tap at the Farmers Inn in Jersey. Pours a hazy amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Aromas of fruits & malt. Tastes also of fruity and malts but also with caramel & spicy bitter hops. Aftertaste is mellow yet with some bitterness. A very good English pale ale.

This is my first time to taste a real ale from the Channel Islands, enjoyed at my local Wetherspoon pub during the chain’s beer festival this month.
"EPA" stands for English Pale Ale. True to the Best Bitter tradition, it boasts Maris Otter & roast malts(?), rendering a multi-layered maltiness that is clean, lightly toffee-ish, nutty & dry, backed by a decent infusion of high-alpha Admiral, Pioneer & English Cascade + restrained fruit esters, leading twds a long, dry, aromatic-nutty finish. A wonderful session ale.
