Aug. 2018: Rerate, cask half pint at The Lamplighter, St Helier. Served at correct cellar temperature. Golden colour, nice lacing. Moderate hops in the aroma. Tingling hops in the fairly dry and pleasant flavour, some fruit. I'm upping the score a bit.
Original rating 2014: Cask pint at the Ship & Crown, St. Peter’s Port, Guernsey. Golden colour, low white head. Very moderate aroma, not as hoppy as expected. Decent hops throughout in the flavour, some malts too. Smooth to drink. (Score: 3.1).

On cask. Pours a pale amber with a thin head that's too weak to leave lace...but its a soft cask pour so its a little hard to judge on that. Nose is light but has some nice floral and fruity notes. Taste is nice and clean with light fruity malts and enough hop bitterness to give a nice finish. Overall, a well made bitter that doesn't excite but doesn't disappoint.

A golden ale available in bottle and on draft in pubs on Jersey. It's brewed using the maris otter & lager malt, golden hops provide bitterness while Syrian goldings and Hallertau Hersbrucker hops provide aroma. It's has a hint of citrus on the nose.
It's a morish beer, with one often leading to two!
