Pours deep brown, almost black with thin light brown head. Aroma is coffee and ash. Taste is heavy of coffee, followed by some mild hop bitterness. Unsweetened dark chocolate is also a prominent flavor. Finishes dry. Low carbonation. Moderate mouth feel. No alcohol heat. Very easy to drink for a 9% beer.

Serving: On tap at the Alibi Room, 10 oz tulip glass.
Appearance: Deep, dark brown-black. Limited tan head but nice lacing.
Smell: Dark roasted grains.
Taste: Rich, roasted grains - a nicely balanced blend of cereal and caramel sweetness, burnt bitterness and some savory notes in between.
Mouthfeel: Medium body and carbonation - remains drinkable with its intense flavors.
Overall: A deeply flavorful imperial stout that remains dangerously drinkable.

Boston round filled Nov 17, 2014. ABV 9.0%, into a yellow dog tulip since brassneck hasn't done a glass yet (as far as I know...).
Appearance. Pours a deep dark brown, black in the glass and topped with a finger of creamy light brown head.
Smell. Semi-sweet chocolate and molasses, sweet dark roasted malts, a touch of roasted nuts and dried dates.
Taste. Dark roasted malts, decent hop presence, light char and dark chocolate, a little espresso, not sweet but there is a little sweetness. Very nice.
Mouthfeel. Medium+ body, medium-low carbonation. A bit thin and just slightly astringent.
Overall. Nice stout with great flavour and doesn't taste like Wilford Brimley's downfall. These guys know beer and how to do it right. One of the 4 top tier BC breweries in BC, keep up the great work guys!!

A: Pours a dark black brown colour with 2 fingers of espresso crema coloured head which dissipates to a thin ring with minimal to no lacing.
S: Cocoa powder, dark coffee and sweet malts followed by dark dried fruit including raisons and prunes. The coffee and malt profiles blend perfectly and result in an ovaltine scent.
T: Charred toast and heavy roasted espresso followed by dark fruit and sweet malts. Mid notes of smokiness which is followed by a velvety smooth sweetness. Hints of alcohol esters on the finish.
M: Medium bodied with little to no carbonation. Smooth finish.
O: Unlike many RIS' we have, Inertia brings forward more of a malt presence while maintaining the cocoa and espresso scent and tastes.
