Pours an almost black, darkbrown color with a huge, creamy eggshell head.
Smells of bakers chocolate, toffee, toasted barley and a hint of hay.
Has a creamy mouthfeel, showcasing a light bodied beer, which produces a pleasant effervescence during its finish.
Tastes of unsweetened breakfast cereals, toffee dragee, milk chocolate and a rustic grain foundation, complemented by an additional bread dough layer. Turns lighter and sweeter then with more toffee cutting through, minimizing the rusticness. Finishes with licorice, bakers chocolate and rock sugar among a pleasant roasty note.
Well rounded beer with a pleasant flavor profile to it and an otherwise light body.

From the bottle, it pours a dark rosy brown with a modest head. Lacing as you enjoy the beer. Crystal and roast malt in the nose. The mouth gets the same. A nice dark beer.
