Bottled in 2013, Batch 001.
Opened during the first weekend of SF Beer Week, Feb. 2023. Since I couldn’t make it out this weekend, and it’s still Cellaruary, I thought why not crack this beauty open.
First impressions—low carb, although I prepared for a geyser. The beer pours a golden-tangelo color. Lightly funky, lightly acidic. Some horse blanket and hay, a little apple cider vinegar on the back. It’s not the most exciting sour I’ve had but for 10 years old it’s far better than it needs to be.

Split with rudzud, duffy, and kyle. Awesome name.
Very little fizzy head, fades quickly mostly golden color.
Nose great, dank sour lacto, big sour lemony funk, floral funk, weird like apricot fruit thing, juicy tart funk and fruit, little golden sour malt, barnyard funk.
Taste starts super sour, tart fruit, site lemony, little grassy and floral, golden sour fruit, little sour apricot and lemon, some flemmy slight milky lacto, bit acidic, dank funk. Finish is long tart sour fruit lingering, mild funk, flemmy and acidic.
Mouth is a lighter to med bod, fluffy slight creamy, decent but lighter carb, flemmy acidic.
Overall pretty nice. I really enjoyed this although others didn't as much.

Split with JLindros, Duffy, and Kyle.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a crystal clear golden hue with thin wisps that fade to leave more light wisps.
S - Aromas of funky brett, great lacto, almost fruit like apricot notes, light yeast. Very bright.
T - Taste is rather yeasty with good brett and yeast note. Good faint fruit, good faint blondes. Pleasant.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, body is nice but the lack of carbonation hurt.
O - Overall this beer was tasty, the nose was really great but the taste was just alright.
