Sweet and tart apricot and hoppy aromatics on this one! Taste follows well with apricot sour notes and subdued hoppiness. This has nice depth and decent feel, I was looking for just a little more apricot up front. Good!

My first Rare Barrel! I'm quite excited! I see a "19" below the Rare Barrel logo and am assuming this is a 2019 bottle, me, I'm not quite sure, just still excited about it!
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance obviously had a golden yellow glossy semi-transparent color to it. Subtle bubbles rising could be seen if one looks close enough. Normal white foamy head for an AWA dissolved as I expected (somewhat quick but not too much). Messy lace stuck around the sides of the glass.
The aroma mixed it on up extremely well! Some lime, peeled apricot sour skin and tart citrus rind. Some grapefruit juice. The barrel that is present seems to be somewhat light and running through some extremely light piney notes. The
The flavor leaned towards a light tart to combined sour/sweet quality with some noticeable white grapey/vinous smooth hints. Apricots do roll in to end up taking the lead while an nurtured aftertaste of apricot jam, white grape/vinous and a keen barrel soothing character comes through absolutely amazing!
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with some sessionability about it. Enough smooth sailing apricot skin seems to equate a refined finish of a little bit of grapefruit juice. Good carbonation.
Overall, hot damn, what an absolutely amazing American wild ale! ABV felt good, and not too high to tell me - yes, this could be an absolutely wonderful beer to have with breakfast!

Really a beautiful beer, poured from growler, thanks to Rare Barrel crew who sent this to Cellarmaker 2nd anniversary party.
Nice golden hues, give way to stone fruit jumping out of glass and growler. Taste like magic! Really tart, somewhat acidic from the apricot, in a very nice way. The carbonation really cause this beer to dance aroundcthe roof of ur mouth. The hops ate not present like an IPA rolecall but I think they add to the stonefruit presence. I cant believe this beer isn't more popular, Awesome job!!

Rare Barrel continues to simply rock the beer world. I'm sorry that more people that try it don't give full reviews (myself included) because the beers, almost all of them, are generally outstanding and consistently outstanding, Breakfast Time among them.

Dry hoped golden sour with apricots it is exactly what you want it to be. Perfectly balanced; just the right amount of lovely fresh hop tones in the nose with perfect balance in the mouth and lots of fresh, bright, sweet and tart apricots - lots of apricot character - Lots!

Rare Barrel may be one of only a handful of American breweries doing world class beers. This one, among all of them, is very worth a try.

A: Lots of apricot upfront with some oak and hops as the beer breathes

A: Golden color, slightly hazy with small amount of head

T: Lots of apricot initially with some oak presence and hop flavoring on the finish - sour, but very clean

M: Light Bodied, medium carbonation finishes dry, not super juicy

O: Pretty delicious and one of my favorite apricot sours. The dry-hopping interplays quite well with the apricot aroma and flavors. Finishes drier and less juicy than the aroma indicates though
