A blend of golden sour beers aged in previously dry-hopped barrels, this beer showcases a bright acidity with notes of dry cider and a surviving trace of tropical hop aroma and flavor. An echo to a process that we once used to dry-hop sour beers, Surviving Trace is a nod to our past as we continue to explore this decades long experiment.

Look: Pour from a growler. Pretty much no head and golden yellow.
Smell:Tons of citrus and some funk.
Taste: Lemony and finishes with a nice tartness.
Feel: Right amount of carbonation with some chew.
Overall: Solid golden sour beer but nothing spectacular. I didn't get any of the hops.

Growler poured into tulip.
A: Pours a slightly hazy golden with lemon highlights beneath a couple fingers of very active bright white bubbly head that quickly fixed away into nothingness.
S: Bright acidity to the nose with hints of stone fruits hops and earthy barrel spice. The acidity and hints of hops give off a citric acid quality along with the stone fruit. Faint notes of peach and nectarine as the beer warms.
T: Golden base beer flavors and very slight stone fruits. Mild earthy spice and dry grains poke though. Lemon and citrus acidity in the finish.
M: Medium body, very tart with strong acidity, dry finish, bright carbonation. Acidity is very strong and puckering. Makes my mouth water long after the swallow. Borderline rough to drink.
O: An interesting concept. Hop flavors are subtle but delicious and add a nice lay or of complexity to an otherwise straightforward golden sour. Acidity is strong but not necessarily harsh, although this beer did became a bit of a chore to drink after a while. Personally too acidic for my taste but those that like a sharp bite will love this.
