Growler into tulip.
A: Pours a clear light golden with a thin, fuzzy, off-white head. The head faded into thick dense collar that lasted on top of the liquid as I sipped the entire glass. As such, rings of soft looking lace were left after nearly every sip.
S: The nose is dripping with juicy tropical fruit hops and fresh pineapple. Obviously pineapple is an easy flavor to pick out, but I also get tons of guava and with subtle hints of green unripe banana, lime, and earthy brett.
T: Tropical fruits up front over a crisp golden sour base full of bright lactic acid. The pineapple comes through nicely in the finish, but it’s not as strong as their all-pineapple sour. Instead, the pineapple is subtle and compliments the tropical hop profile. The finish is lightly sweet with a pleasant juicy quality, and the aftertaste is full of green fruit skins, fruit nectar, and a kiss of bready and crisp grains.
M: Light body, clean and easy mouthfeel, bright acidity that isn’t overly harsh, with soft and smooth carbonation. The first couple sips of this were a bit rough, but once my palate got used to it, this was quite a pleasure to drink.
O: An extremely enjoyable beer with a great combination of topical hop flavors, sweet pineapple nectar, and clean lactic tartness. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
