Had this one in February 2020 during SFBW and after the day of the DIPA fest. Hoppy days, sour nights is how that first Saturday in Feb goes.
Summary of this beer: A lot of mango, perhaps too much.
Pours a mango yellow and orange color. Looks straight up like orange juice. Doesn't even make a head like OJ. Is this just pure mango zero abv stuff? Anyways, do I like the color, yes, but even though it has a relatively decent appearance score, its just the bright color for the most part. Aroma of mango beer is mango. Naming of beer checks out.
Taste, ok, we've got some of the usual Rare Barrel sour blonde ale base and acidity here bringing this slightly more over to the 'beer' side of things compared to a fruit smoothie. Same with the mouth feel. Do you like mango? If you don't, there is no way I can fathom you liking this beer. The only way to make the name of this beer more truthful might be to rename it "All Mango". And that is what this beer is, a simple mango sour with all the requisite Rare Barrel characteristics, for better and for worse. For me, its a fun, but not life altering drink on tap, but a no go price wise for a bottle.

8oz tulip at the TRB.
A: Turbid, cloudy, juicy looking mango meat color with a cap of very frothy and dense off-white foam that slowly collapsed into a thin collar.
S: I can smell this beer from a few feet away. Super juicy and ripe mango. Reminds me of sugary dried mango. There's a lightly tart acidic character as well.
T: Follows the nose with juicy mango puree flavor mixed with a clean tartness and sugary sweetness. Tart finish, sweet lingering aftertaste.
M: medium-full body with a sweet, thick, and chewy mouthfeel. Tartness is bright but not overly acidic or harsh. Carbonation has a nice creamy chew to it. There is a hint of drying tannins but nothing crazy.
O: Great juicy mango, not overly sugary sweet, not overly acidic. Solid.
