2017 bottle into snifter.
A: Pours a brilliant, clear, straw color with an ample bright white faomy head that really frothedup with the pour and held exceptional retention. Impressive looking for a beer, let alone a sour.
S: Cucumber immediately noticeable and dominating on the nose followed by hints of botanical/herbal scents of the juniper, rosemary, and probably the gin barrel.
T: Still plenty of cucumber up front mixed with the crisp and grainy golden sour base flavors. The unique combination of ingredients imparts notes of cool melon, lime-like citrus and peppery spice. The finish is full of spruce/juniper botanical flavors alongside a hint of herbal and earthy rosemary, and the aftertaste is full of lingering citrus and gin-like flavors.
M: Medium-full body with a crispy and dry mouthfeel, medium tartness with a good blast of acidity that quickly melds away into a moderately bitter/sour finish. Carbonation is full and bright but not distracting and goes well with the light and cooling flavors of this beer.
O: A very unique and refreshing flavor profile. Very well executed and thought out flavor combination overall. Super easy to drink. Impressive head retention for a sour and perfect effervescent carbonation.
