A: Poured into a tulip glass to what is essentially a lack beer which is topped by a dense and slightly rocky finger and a half of light tan head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of sour raspberries with hints of chocolate and vanilla
T: Taste is quite sour up front with some notes of raspberries before chocolate and vanilla come in along with a touch of drying oak plus a touch of funk. On the finish there's more sour raspberries, vanilla, chocolate, and oak with some lingering bitter cocoa flavor mixed with raspberries.
M: This beer has a body which sits right around medium with a slightly creamy feel. Carbonation is lightly effervescent and adequate for the style while the acidity gives this beer a drying finish.
O: Overall this is a really great beer. It has a nice amount of complexity, killer flavors, and decent balance which make it enjoyable to drink.
