A: Poured into a tulip glass to a golden yellow beer that's slightly hazed. The beer is topped by a dense and fluffy two fingers of white head which fade slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of some nice sour peaches mixed with some strong vanilla and cinnamon notes.
T: Taste is sweet and sour peaches up front with some nice vanilla and cinnamon, there's a touch of oak as well along with a hint of funk. There's just a hint of spice on this one so the barrel influence is somewhat muted by everything else going on. On the finish there's more peaches, vanilla, oak, warming cinnamon, and hints of rye whiskey.
M: This beer has a body which has a moderate amount of heft on the palate. Carbonation is effervescent and adequate for the style while the beer has a drying finish due to the acidity.
O: Overall this is a fun one. Really nice flavors and complexity which make it a fun one to drink.

A: Pours a hazy, light yellow orange. Looks something like a NEIPA. Almost no head, with no lacing.
S: A strong, overwhelming peach aroma that turns into a warm vanilla. Get a strong apple pie flavor with it. There is also a delicious candy flavor that is reminiscent of sour patch kids.
T: I initially get a strong, tart peach and graham cracker flavor. The flavor evolves into a warm cinnamon leading to some light whiskey. There is a lingering vanilla that sits throughout the entire drink.
M: The minimal carbonation and medium consistency gives a great silky mouthfeel. It is exactly what I want for a beer trying to be sweet and decadent.
O: I really loved this beer, and thinks its some of the rare barrels best work. The balance of sweet and tart is out of this world and something I would have no problem drinking a full bottle of.

2019 vintage. this is the first black label beer i have had from these guys if i recall correctly, and its downright delicious! i dont remember the original being this strong, not that this is boozy or anything, but its obviously taken on some additional strength from the rye barrels and maybe extended fermentation time on the peaches. the beer is just incredible, among the best ive ever had from these guys, the vanilla seems to love the rye, and there is great woodiness and whiskey richness to balance some of the acidity, this isnt even all that sour, just really complex, tart, and incredibly well refined. the cinnamon is an awesome touch, and seems to love the light spice in the rye too, giving this a sort of baked cobbler complexion or something, the peaches have a cooked character as well, and notes of honey and graham cracker linger throughout this, not to mention the strong natural vanilla presence, just an insane mix of flavors and textures here. i love how its obviously rye, no mistaking the barrels for bourbon, the earthiness and lack of sweetness in it are apparent the whole way, and all the oak is just awesome with the citric acidity in this. the peaches are real, ripe, and robust, but this just wouldnt be the same without the vanilla and cinnamon, both tastefully dosed and perfect in compliment to the peaches. really sensational beer here, dynamic, festive, interesting, and like nothing else in the game. this takes the impressive original to the next level. feeling blessed to have been able to drink this one, definitely up there with my favorite ever from rare barrel!
